Headquartered in California, Big Paws Canine Foundation, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) registered Non-Profit that trains and provides Service Dogs to Disabled Veterans and former First Responders injured in the line of duty. Operated entirely by Volunteers, no one takes a salary. All costs for the Veterinary Care and equipment for the Service Dogs is provided by donations, grants and fundraising events.
In addition to Southern California and Sioux Falls (SD), Big Paws Canine is opening a third location from which to support our Veterans in Aynor, South Carolina. The new space is approximately 1800 sq ft and will enable the Advanced Task Training needed for these dogs to assist with daily tasks such as picking up items, opening doors and providing the mobility assistance needed for those with walkers, canes or wheelchairs.
